Wochenbericht Kaufmann International in Dublin

Wochenbericht
10.11.- 16.11.2025
OUR FIRST WEEK IN IRELAND WAS A
WONDERFUL MIX OF LEARNING, EXPLORING,
AND GETTING TO KNOW A NEW CULTURE.
WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE HORNER SCHOOL
OF ENGLISH IN DUBLIN, WE WERE WELCOMED
WARMLY, AND VERY QUICKLY WE FELT AT
EASE. DURING THE WEEK, WE HAD SEVERAL
INTERESTING LESSONS THAT HELPED US
IMPROVE OUR ENGLISH AND BECOME MORE
CONFIDENT WHEN SPEAKING
WE LEARNED HOW TO PREPARE AND GIVE PRESENTATIONS, TALKED ABOUT
WORK AND LIFE IN IRELAND, AND EVEN PRACTISED JOB INTERVIEW SKILLS. THE
TEACHERS WERE ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND SUPPORTIVE, WHICH MADE THE
CLASSES ENJOYABLE AND RELAXED.
WHAT WE LOVED MOST, HOWEVER, WERE THE ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE THE
CLASSROOM. EARLY IN THE WEEK, WE JOINED A WALKING TOUR THROUGH
DUBLIN, WHICH HELPED US DISCOVER THE CITY’S CHARM — FROM ITS OLD
BUILDINGS AND LIVELY STREETS TO THE STORIES BEHIND THEM. LATER IN THE
WEEK, WE VISITED THE TEELINGS DISTILLERY AND GOT A GLIMPSE INTO IRELAND’S
WHISKEY TRADITION. ANOTHER HIGHLIGHT WAS OUR VISIT TO THE GPO, WHERE
WE LEARNED ABOUT AN IMPORTANT PART OF IRISH HISTORY. THESE EXPERIENCES
MADE EVERYTHING WE LEARNED IN CLASS FEEL MUCH MORE REAL.
SOME STUDENTS ALSO JOINED A WEEKEND TRIP TO GLENDALOUGH, WICKLOW
AND KILKENNY. THE NATURE THERE WAS BREATHTAKING, AND IT WAS A GREAT
CHANCE TO SPEND TIME TOGETHER AND SEE MORE OF THE COUNTRY.
LOOKING BACK, THIS FIRST WEEK WAS EXCITING AND FULL OF NEW
IMPRESSIONS. WE LEARNED A LOT, NOT JUST ABOUT THE ENGLISH
LANGUAGE, BUT ALSO ABOUT IRELAND AND ABOUT EACH OTHER. IT WAS A
WARM AND INSPIRING START TO OUR TRIP THAT WE WILL DEFINITELY
REMEMBER

Weekly Report
This week has been both exciting and highly
educational. We continued to improve our Business
English skills in class, which helped us strengthen
our communication and expand our vocabulary in
practical, real-world contexts.
On Monday, we visited the Guinness Storehouse,
one of Dublin’s most famous attractions. The tour
was fascinating—especially learning about the
brewing process and seeing the historic
advertisements that Guinness is known for. The
highlight was the Gravity Bar, where we enjoyed a
panoramic view of the city.
On Wednesday, we had the opportunity to explore
the Windmill Lane Recording Studio, a place filled
with musical history. It was inspiring to see where
world-famous artists have recorded their music, and
the studio’s creative atmosphere made the visit
particularly memorable.
During the week, we also continued to discover
more of Dublin, walking through its charming
streets, visiting shops, and experiencing the lively
city culture. Each day brought something new to
see, from historic buildings to modern urban life.
Our weekend was a true highlight. On Sunday, we
visited the Cliffs of Moher and the city of Galway.
The cliffs were breathtaking—standing above the
Atlantic Ocean with dramatic views that stretched
endlessly along the coastline. Galway, with its
colorful streets, live music, and welcoming
atmosphere, provided a perfect contrast to the
natural scenery. Both places were beautiful and
unforgettable.
Overall, this week offered a perfect mix of learning,
culture, and exploration. It was a wonderful
experience that helped us grow both academically
and personally
